We invite tutorial proposals on topics of current interest (reliability, testing, security, Model-Driven Engineering) that will draw a significant number of attendees in conferenece related topics. Proposal should include:
Title
Goals
Name of speaker(s)
Length of tutorial (half day / full day)
Bio-data of speaker(s) including contact information
Prior history at ISSRE (if applicable)

due July 10 - Submit a Student Paper
The International Symposium on Software Reliability Engineering (ISSRE) is pleased to solicit student papers for the ISSRE'2004 student program. The program was created in 1999 to encourage students' participation to ISSRE. Since then, over 70 students from degree granting institutions in Europe, US and Asia participated in the program. All degree candidates are eligible for student paper submission, but only full time students will be considered for travel grants. A travel grant ranging from $300 to $700 will be awarded to meritorious students. The travel grant is intended to cover travel expenses and student registration expenses up to the specified limits. For this year, Microsoft and IBM have agreed to sponsor the program. Sponsorships from other organizations are invited. Please contact one of the Student Paper chairs - Sebastian Elbaum or Yvan Labiche for more details about sponsorships.
Student paper can be on any topic of interest to ISSRE. Student papers, written in English, should not exceed 4 single-column one-and-half spaced pages. If the two-column camera-ready format is used, it should not exceed 2 camera-ready pages. The paper should be submitted electronically, either in postscript or PDF format. Submissions must be unpublished and must not have been submitted for publication elsewhere (including regular papers submitted to ISSRE'2004). The student must be the first author of the paper. To submit a paper, please go to the submission page. Please do not forget to choose "Student papers" as submission type.
Student papers will be reviewed and selection will be based on the following criteria:
The recipients of the student travel award will be required to submit a camera-ready short paper, which will be included in the supplemental conference proceedings, present their work in a short talk and as a poster during the conference. Further details will be provided upon the acceptance of the student paper.
Please contact one of the student paper chairs - Sebastian Elbaum or Yvan Labiche - for more information.
due July 10 due July 24 - Submit a Fast Abstract
Fast Abstracts are short technical articles that describe work in progress, practices, opinions, or experiences on any topic of interest to ISSRE 2004. They promote early communication of technical work and allow their authors to:
Fast Abstracts are an integral and important part of ISSRE. Accepted contributions will be published in the Supplementary Proceedings of the Fifteenth International Symposium on Software Reliability Engineering and authors will present a short talk at the symposium. Fast Abstracts sessions have been among the most attended in past ISSRE editions, with contributors as diverse as young students and distinguished members of the community.
The submissions must conform to the standard double-column IEEE format and should not exceed two pages, including all text, references, and figures. The authors should explain the contribution to the field and the novelty of the work, making clear the current status of the work.
The fast absract should be submitted electronically, either in postscript or PDF format. Submissions must be unpublished and must not have been submitted for publication elsewhere. Please do not forget to choose "Fast Abstracts" as submission category in the online form.
